BPC-157 / TB-500 — two compounds, one freeze-dried pen
BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide of 15 amino acids, derived from a partial sequence identified in gastric juice. The name is an abbreviation of Body Protection Compound. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring protein.
Both compounds are studied in the context of tissue repair pathways, largely in preclinical models. Published human data is limited. They are frequently studied together in the research literature, which is why we supply them as a single blended pen rather than two separate purchases.
Why freeze-dried matters
Peptides are chemically fragile once in solution. Water attacks the peptide bonds directly (hydrolysis), dissolved oxygen reacts with vulnerable amino acid residues (oxidation), and individual molecules cluster into inactive aggregates over time. Heat, light and time all accelerate these processes.
Supplying the blend freeze-dried keeps both compounds dry and stable through manufacturing, freight, customs and storage. The compounds are only reconstituted at the point of use, using the bacteriostatic water pen included in the kit.
