Are pre-filled peptide pens actually stable?
Pre-filled peptide pens are widely marketed as more convenient than the freeze-dried alternative. That claim is true – reconstitution is skipped. But the stability trade-off deserves an honest answer.

Verdict
When pre-filled makes sense, and when it does not
Pre-filled works when:
- The manufacturer has cold-chain shipping and can validate temperature control across the journey
- You will use the entire pen within days of receiving it
- The peptide is intrinsically less prone to aggregation and hydrolysis
Pre-filled struggles when:
- Shipping is by standard courier (which is the typical UK/EU consumer flow)
- The pen sits in your fridge for weeks before finishing
- The peptide has cysteine, methionine, or is prone to aggregation
